Express Care Transport, LLC is a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation company (NEMT) that provides all our customers with door-to-door services with dignity. These customers include those customers who need assistance getting to medical appointments such as dialysis, chemotherapy, physical therapy, annual checkups, and preventative care appointments. We take pride in caring for our customers like our family members. Here at Express Care Transport, everyone is treated with kindness and respect.

Who We Need?

We are now looking for part-time, Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Drivers who appreciate working with those with mobility issues, seniors, and people with disabilities. We are looking for someone who enjoys being of service to people. As a NEMT driver, you will be responsible for transporting patients to and from medical appointments in a safe and timely manner. You will be providing a crucial service to patients and/or their family members. Your position as a NEMT driver will be critical in enhancing their overall health and well-being. No prior NEMT or medical experience is required since we train all new workers extensively.

Duties:

  • Clients will need to be picked up at home or other care facilities.

  • Securement of passengers according to PASS guidelines.

  • Passengers will need to be transported to assigned drop-offs.

  • Every passenger, whether wheelchair or ambulatory, must be safely and properly secured before the vehicle starts.

  • The driver will need to assist the passenger in exiting the vehicle and ensuring the person reaches the proper treatment area.

  • Vehicle disinfection must be completed between each client drop-off.

  • Must adhere to an environment of courtesy and friendliness when transporting passengers.

  • Must be able to operate GPS and operate company applications.

  • Communicate details regarding transport to dispatch.

  • Ensure adequate fueling each shift and report any vehicle maintenance.

  • Maintain continued training and apply training in transport.

  • Handle equipment of mobility for passengers such as wheelchairs, walkers, and canes properly.

Qualifications:

  • Must have good communication skills and customer service skills.

  • Ability to be on time and provide empathy and reliability to customers and coworkers.

  • Must have basic email and internet usage experience.

  • Must have smartphone that is capable of handling routing software and GPS.

  • Ability to push, pull and position clients throughout the scheduled shift.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • First Aid and CPR training (will be provided by the company).

  • Take a Passenger Assistance Safety and Sensitivity online training (provided by the company).

  • Must pass the online defensive driving course (provided by the company).

  • Must pass an online HIPPA training course (provided by the company).

  • Must take Wheelchair Securement training (provided by company).

  • Availability for Schedule Monday through Friday and must be available some Saturdays.

  • Final Candidates will have to pass a 10-panel drug testing and 10-year background check.

Job Type:

 

  • Part time travel up to 30 hours weekly

 

Pay:

 

  • $16.50 - $18.00 per hour depending on experience

 

Schedule:

 

  • Monday thru Friday

  • Day shift

  • Every other Saturday

  • 8-hour shifts

  • 10-hour shifts

  • 12-hour shifts

  • Overtime (40 hours a week or more)

 

Travel: 100%
